i would like to bring to the attention of MMDA regarding the side streets or bangkenta in COnstancia St., Brgy Olympia Makati City that serves as carinderia, parking space or extended house of residents there. Orbos. Salamat po.

What does number coding mean? What main roads are private vehicles on the number coding prohibited from using from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.?
Example: a vehicle with plate number ending in #9?

Department of Interior and Local Government
      Attention: Mr. Mel Senen Sarmiento

This is to bring to your attention the unjust sufferings of the residents of Pasig riding in four wheeled vehicles and / or motorists outside Pasig, when Pasig starts implementing a different odd-even plate coding scheme. The main reason for MMDA’s number coding in selected roads / avenues is to decongest the volume of traffic by passing through other roads of towns in Metro Manila. By this, a better economic condition can be attained through faster deliveries of goods and services…and this is the object of Duterte Administration.
By way of implementing a different number coding scheme in addition to MMDA’s by Pasig Government, one can expect economic slowdown especially so when other towns start creating their own and separate traffic schemes. Does Pasig not aware that even in Congress our elected officials are breaking their heads with proposals to pass through private subdivisions and government owned properties? I believe, Pasig must always coordinate with the National Government when necessary.

As my personal experience at Barangay Buting, Pasig there were about six (6 )Traffic enforcers at a given time stopping motorists the whole night and day despite smooth flow of traffic. Could it be called diligence or there is something especial on loaded trucks?…not to mention car drivers who are in a hurry or afraid to ask why? In one occasion at about 8pm the enforcers asked me to roll down the window but when saw me a 73 years old then I asked why? He said: check point lang po. Paki buksan ang ilaw. When asked his name he left but the other enforcer continued to explain on number coding of Pasig.

May I ask your office that is it not a check point post has signage with a policeman?

Lastly, If Pasig government has its own allowable right under the Constitution, as a citizen I suggest that residents of Pasig be issued windshield sticker to avoid being stopped countless time in a day to the detriment of passenger in emergency situation.
      Thank you and please reply.

    • Good day, Usec. Thomas Orbos! I’m Redison Dionisio, a broadcast communication student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-College of Communication.
One of our major courses, Television Production (BRCO 3175), requires us to create a news report, which covers about national news.
In accordance with this, I’m humbly asking for an opportunity to have an interview with you regarding the motorcycle lane policy.
      Thank you and God bless!

  6. Ronald de Leon says:

Sir , suggestions of color code of vehicles be implemented instead of number coding . Example if your car is white – Monday is the no window travel , black or dark Colors – every Tuesday , And for other colors red, orange, yellow , Wednesday , etc
This is just a suggestion , maybe it could ease up the traffic. You can easily see who is violating the code of the day

  7. Mike says:

    Good Am,

I have some concerns regarding a traffic violation I experienced around 2pm to 3pm July 24 at the corner of Aurora Boulevard and EDSA Cubao.

This traffic enforcer F. REGATON suddenly hold me up when I turned right after the tunnel of Aurora Boulevard going to EDSA. It was not an abrupt move coz I followed the lane going to Cubao as I was going towards EDSA. He told me that i shouldn’t turn right there coz there is no right turn.. So I asked him it was not my intention to turn right but i need to coz i was going towards EDSA , Makati and I’m not familiar with Cubao’s rerouting. He was insisting to me that i should have made a U Turn over the bridge and then left to Aurora. Man, if your not from that area how will you know? But still insisting I should have made a turn going to the bridge and maybe out to Arayat St. or Aurora Boulevard What?? I don’t wanna loose my patience so, I just gave in and he got my license…

For me that should be an open way, if you wish to turn right going to EDSA then you could coz your still following the stop lights anyway. If you go straight the route to EDSA might take you all the way inside Cubao Gateway then through P. Tuazon then out to EDSA??? tsk, tsk…which is not convenient for any driver.. Besides the jeepney the taxi’s waiting in that area are most likely to be CAUSING THE TRAFFIC! not the private vehicles..

I hope my observation and analyzation of the scenario will shed some light on what i’ve encountered awhile ago… Thanks!

God Bless.

  14. Jose of QC says:

    Paki check lang po

1st yung rotonda sa tapat ng WILCON sa commomwealth going to commonwealth market nag built up ng traffic almost everyday due to dispatcher na sinasalubong ung mga AUV both legal and colurum to include also the passenger jeep. Nagiging pick up and drop point na nila ung mismung Rotonda. Walang MMDA personnel to check the flow of traffic may be because of the presence of Police Station na tinotolorate din ung mga dispatcher at drivers. You will notice that there is still enough space on the upper portion of the road wherein they can stop and pick up passenger. Pls act on it sir.

2nd the U Turn slot located at after the said Rotunda same direction going to commonwealth market. The U turn slot usually being used by PUJ creates problem because instead of executing a U turn (PUJ) they move forward that resulted to counter flowing just to reach the outer lane that has a concrete barriers and drums that most of the time resulted in accident and altercation on the part of drivers moving forward and drivers of PUJ that causes traffic jam. I spotted also that some dispatcher and drivers of PUJ removing the 2 drums position before the concrete barriers which is intended to prevent accident and damage just in case you bump the barriers. Again no presence of MMDA personnel to assess the situation.

3rd The loading and unloading area located along commonwealth going to iglesia central, most of the time specially during early morning commuters simply occupying almost the entire 3 lanes and leaving the waiting shed and loading and unloading area empty that resulted to traffic jam. Again most of the time without the presence of MMDA personnel or may be late or not sufficient in numbers.

4th The overpass/footbridge before and after Brgy Holy spirit along commonwealth going to iglesia central, the build up of traffic jam caused by undisciplined commuters and AUV/PUJ drivers sinasalubong nila ung PUJ and AUV occupying almost 3 lanes, they should wait and stay beside the footbridge if you will see the portion beside the bridge is quite empty a big space to accommodate PUJ and AUV. Plus the facts that on the other side of the road is a U turn slot that aggravate traffic jam (bottle neck). Again the presence of MMDA personnel is necessary to direct traffic for.

last and final observation, The flyover of commonwealth going to igleasia ni cristo central. As we see there are 2 lanes intended for vehicles going up on said flyover but more often AUV and some private recklessly using the outer lanes and immediately upon reaching the almost foot of the bridge rashly they will swerve going, no apprehension is being done by the MMDA personnel assigned. Much worst is that on the other side of the footbridge going to glory balara AUV mostly executing an almost L type of swerving just to occupy the bridge.
    Thank you sir.

  17. Rodrigo Farinas says:

    Dear Sir,

    Gud day.
