Last week, coming from Alabang, I experienced the horrible traffic while exiting SLEX in Bicutan toll booth. It took me about 30-45 minutes queuing towards the toll booth, after passing Sucat Toll Booth. The reason was, the SLEX management changed the way the Bicutan booth operates… BEFORE 1-booth exclusive use of ETC motorist, 1-booth dedicated for ETC+Cash motorist, and 1-booth for pure Cash motorist… NOW 2-booths were for exclusive use of ETC or RFID motorist, and only 1-booth to be use by Cash paying motorist. I hope they revert to the previous way they manage the booths to give equal space for ETC motorist and Cash paying motorist. Please have a heart to us motorist using SLEX, and don’t burden us with a terrible traffic caused by your management decision … we are paying for the use of SLEX, and give us the freedom to choose whether to have an ETC in our vehicle or just pay Cash for your road use.

Every Thursday and Friday night, SLEX’s Filinvest Exit is the cause of huge traffic inside Filinvest. Nobody from SLEX seems to care about the cause of the problem. It is their failure to properly place signs and provide enough toll booths for Southbound vehicles. Whoever supervise/manage the exit must be of sheer incompetence and stupidity. There are three booths provided, the left is for electronic toll system, while middle and the right booths are for cash. But there’s this stupid idea of SLEX to put up a signboard telling motorists to keep right if they’re to pay cash. The result is a very long line of vehicles in the rightmost booth, while the teller at the middle booth is frowning because she has no customer to serve.

  12. Dave Dera says:

    Hello.

Please ensure that the toll booth areas are free from oil-gunk deposits. I rode my motorcycle this morning and I almost slipped as I stopped to pay the exit toll. This was the last exit after Bicutan (Makati bound). I informed the toll officer but she didn’t look interested nor concerned which was dissapointing.

As proof, I can attach an image of the sole of my shoe to show the gunk that was stuck should you respond with your email address.

    Just a concerned road user.

US, hopofully this will do…ty

I believe you should “educate” your toll booth attendants on how to distinguish 400cc motorbikes to those who “pretend” to be riding a big bike. Last Christmas season on several occasions, smaller motorcycles which are definitely not 400cc were along SLEX. One of them exiting MCX. Just today, another motorcycle (yellow) which is definitely not of the 400cc category was allowed to enter Southwoods, North Bound. The bike had 2 passengers with back packs at the rear. This poses a safety hazard for both motorbike rider and other cars along SLEX. Why can’t your toll booth attendants challenge the rider to show proof that bike is really 400cc thru original registration papers. Secondly, if these are truly big bikes and frequently use SLEX, then they would acquire an ETC. But the mere fact that they prefer to line up and get cards is already suspicious. Just by the sound of the motorbike, you can easily distinguish what is and what is not 400cc.

  15. Engr. Arnel Padua says:

Please implement the law regarding overloading. It is for the safety of passengers. Most of the bus coming from San Pedro, Laguna going to Lrt Gil Puyat / Buendia do not follow this law. Before the bus cannot pass the toll gate going to Manila if you are overloading. Only seating capacity is allowed to pass the toll gate. I hope the SLEX Management will look into this because the safety of the public is also your concern.

I just wanted to make a feedback with regards to the zipper lane being implemented from Alabang via duct to near the ramp of skyway every Monday morning. I am one of those who are using the south bound lane of SLEX everyday, my home is in Antipolo and my place of work is in Calamba city. The implementation of zipper lane which started around 3 weeks ago had added at least 20 minutes of my travel time because of the traffic jam it is creating on the south bound lane of SLEX every Monday morning. I would like to request that SLEX re-evaluate this undertaking. Zipper lane is only suppose to be implemented if the traffic capacity of the affected lane is capable, meaning no additional travel time should be incurred by paying Customer, if not, then I think we can consider the undertaking as unfair. South bound travelers are being unnecessarily burdened by a program that will not benefit himself. Why should a paying Customer sacrifice ? Instead of just having north bound Customer suffering, you have unjustly added South bound customers which are not suppose to be affected. If you carefully evaluate the program, I do not think it help much on the North bound customer as well, because you can notice that the traffic just after the openings on the north bound is light. This means that it is bottle necking on the splitting and on the merging points. Please stop this practice.

Will you consider allowing originally manufactured and capable three-wheeler cycles pass thru SLEX for the following facts: 1. They are only 4 of them anyway a. Harley Davidson Ultra Classic; Piaggio MP3; Aprilla Foucault; Ural Motors; and Cam Am Spyder; 2. They are all more stable than regular bikes and their safety are guaranteed by their company and are all known big manufacturers; 3. They call all go beyond 150 KPH which is way beyond the 100 KPH speed limit of SLEX. 4. The big slow trucks are more of a road hazards than this swift and stable Orinally manufactured trikes. Only the rich can afford them so there will only be a few of them will be on the road at any one time. 5. They are safer for old bikers like me, over 50.
